Medical Receptionist
Chagford Health Centre are a busy and welcoming medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. Our team is passionate about maintaining a friendly and efficient environment, and we are seeking a Medical Receptionist/Secretary/Summariser to join us in delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage appointment bookings using our practice management system.
- Answer telephone inquiries and respond to emails efficiently.
- Handle patient registration and ensure accurate data entry.
- Secretarial Duties:
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as required.
- Manage medical records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Support clinicians with administrative tasks, including referrals and prescriptions.
- Summarising Duties:
- Review and summarise patient medical records accurately.
- Update electronic records with critical medical history and ongoing conditions.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date and organized patient files.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office. Training will be given in our clinical software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
